Intriguing Perspectives

"There's nothing new under the sun." -John Lennon

Every narrative, every composition has existed in one form or another for as long as people have been able to create. The tools and mediums for these have continued to evolve over time but the inherent core of these compositions have remained the same.

In any creative effort, while it's clear that it's not the first incarnation of a composition, it's the artist, their perspective that creates something unique.

Every artist regardless of medium has a unique approach and an entirely unique perspective to breathe life into their compositions. The combination of elements; tone, saturation, angle, lighting, settings and even characters are utilized in a distinct manner that only the artist envisions.

While there is nothing new under the sun, every composition is an assemblage of elements and while those elements may have been used before by another artist, the variations of each element assure that each composition is wholly unique. Every individual has their own perspective and this means that a person can observe the same composition but see different features of that composition.

So long as there are artists, there will always be unique compositions regardless of medium.

Yes! I love this and the new site rocks! There truly are no new stories, but if people didn't think putting their own spin on things wasn't valuable, no one would ever write! I always think of this when writing. That it's my story, and no one can tell it as I can. LOL and PS: I love being listed as a known associate.:)

Thanks Michele, it was fun creating the new design, a bit less trying to implement it. Heh, I love the whole Modern Noir thing :-)

First, let me say I love your new blog look! Can I steal it ;)

2nd, this post speaks volumes. Yes, the tools and mediums may stay the same with variations but it is each artist that uses them uniquely to create NEW every time. If not, the world would have stopped creating long ago and we would have no purpose. For it is in the unique creating that we have purpose.

Thank you Donna. "For it is in the unique creating that we have a purpose." - Very wise words.

I love the idea that only I can create my stories. Even though some of the elements have been done before, only my perspective makes these stories truly mine, and hopefully enjoyed by others.

I LOVE the new blog layout. So much easier to read! I have a tough time with dark backgrounds, so this heavenly. Nice job!

The art of creation lies with each of us, the elements allow us infinite combinations as we never see the same piece as the next viewer.

Thank you Julie, I made changes based on all the feedback over last year. But still kept my style intact ;-)
