I think it had a rather sweeping quality to it with the large sets and huge cast. That always helps. We knew going in there would be tragedy, so that played upon our anticipation as well. I think what drew me, is that even though the mc's were fiction, it felt like I got to know a personal story of one of the passengers and, yes, I got attached and Jack's death was heart-wrenching.
